New Local Unit Users

Last year, PTA began using Just Between Friends for member management, communications, directories and volunteer management. National PTA worked with Just Between Friends to develop a system to simplify your life and strengthen your PTA.

Just Between Friends replaces the traditional OMDR system that you’ve used in the past. You might have heard the new system referred to as “OMDRplus powered by Just Between Friends”. Recently, we’ve dropped the OMDRplus as we transition completely away from the old OMDR system for all local PTA units.

If you are not currently using Just Between Friends, we encourage you to begin using the system because in the near future, OMDR for local PTAs will be phased out.

Last year, there were so many units signing up to Just Between Friends, the sudden increase in usage caused some units to experience difficulties. To address those difficulties, we temporarily stopped having units move to the new system. Since then, the system has been enhanced, new features have been added, and the speed has increased. So we are again encouraging units to get started as outlined below.

If you've been using OMDR, you'll be able to get your data from OMDR into Just Between Friends

Attention State PTAs:

The JANUARY dues worksheet is now available. The deadline for the January dues submission is Monday February 6, 2012 5:00pm EST.

Please remember:
  • You can only do one final submission per month, so do not hit the "final submit" button until you have entered everything for the month.


  • If uploading a dues spreadsheet, be sure to use 1/31/2012 as the date in column B.


  • OMDR will continue to calculate $1.75 for each member reported for January. Invoices will be sent separately for the additional $.50 per member($2.25 total for each member).
